The National Videogame Museum is cranking up the fun with Multiplayer Madness, an exciting event where friends and family unite for hours of competitive battles.

From March 29th-April 21st, visitors can dive into a world of thrilling multiplayer games, social spaces and nostalgic gaming experiences. Also presented throughout the holidays will be a unique multiplayer experience of one of Sheffield’s most popular videogames.

Visitors can challenge friends and loved ones in pulsating battles, exhilarating races, and rocking rhythm contests across a range of iconic titles. Whether it’s reliving the magic of classic games like Tekken 2 (1995), Mario Kart Wii (2008) and LEGO Rock Band (2009), or discovering something new, Multiplayer Madness has something for both seasoned gamers and newcomers alike.

Headlining the Multiplayer Madness, is the chaotic fun of Gang Beasts. With its goofy, over-the-top physics and hilarious character battles, the Sheffield made party brawler is guaranteed to leave visitors laughing. The NVM have teamed up with Boneloaf to showcase a large multiplayer prototype version of Gang Beasts. Visitors can sink into comfy bean bags, battle it out and experience the game like never before.

Beyond the gaming action, Multiplayer Madness offers a variety of activities to bring people together. Explore a new gallery trail, collect stamps by teaming up with fellow players and capture, retro style mementos using a Game Boy Camera and printer.

John O’Shea, Creative Director & Co-CEO said, “We want everyone to have fun together at the Museum this Easter, so we’re presenting a new range of great games for groups to play. We’re hoping young people can teach older generations some new skills, and maybe the kids can learn something from the Old School?”

Press start this Easter to embark on the ultimate multiplayer gaming experience with The National Videogame Museum.
