Supertram fundraiser in memory of colleague raises £3000 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Supertram is proud to have carried out a heartfelt fundraiser in memory of a much-loved colleague, Matt Orange, who sadly passed away from cancer in October this year. Through the generosity and dedication of the Supertram team, a total of £3000 has been raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Matthew Orange was a cherished member of the Supertram team, known for his gentle nature, dedication, and dry sense of humour. To honour his memory and contribute to a befitting cause, Supertram organised a special fundraising event where colleagues wore orange to work in a show of solidarity and respect for Matthew.

“Matt was a kind, thoughtful, and highly valued member of our driving team. He had been with the company since 1996. His unique presence will be sadly missed by all,” said Sharon Galloway, Manager of Operations at Supertram.

“We are incredibly proud of our team and grateful to everyone who contributed. The funds raised will support Macmillan in their vital work, helping those affected by cancer.”
Macmillan Cancer Support provides information and support to people living with cancer and their families, including financial, practical, and emotional support. The donation will aid in ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.

Supertram would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all employees, passengers, and the wider community for their generosity and support. Together, they have made a meaningful impact in memory of Matthew Orange and in support of all those affected by cancer.
