An all new 80’s Music Festival is taking place at Cotswold Airport on 7th June 2025 to raise awareness and funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity.

Who says that the glamourous era of travel is over? It’s about to revisit the Cotswolds with the announcement of ‘Fly Back To The 80’s’ a music festival celebrating the decade’s music and decadence taking place at Cotswold Airport on 7th June 2025.

The event will take place around and onboard the Airfield’s iconic Boing 747 ‘Negus’ Jumbo jet, providing a dramatic backdrop for a unique evening of entertainment.

A host of 80’s acts will be performing live to raise vital funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity. The initial announcement lineup includes:

  • Clare Grogan of Altered Images
  • Paul Simonon of The Clash
  • Dan Donovan of Big Audio Dynamite & Dreadzone
  • Neal X of Sigue Sigue Sputnik
  • DJ Kavita – lockdown’s own Lawyer to DJ superstar

Further exciting acts to be announced.

The event is the brainchild of charity Ambassador Will McIntyre, who commented, “The Children’s Hospital Charity does such amazing work to enhance the quality of care for kids from across the UK and the world, not just the Yorkshire region. With the exceptionally kind support of Suzannah Harvey and the team at Cotswold Airport, who are providing the venue, I thought this was a great opportunity to do something different to raise awareness and funds outside of the charity’s traditional catchment area.

“Whilst my career in PR has seen me organise a launch or two, a music festival is a whole new challenge, but thankfully I have a great team of support around me helping to pull this all together. We hope for this to be an ongoing annual event to provide an amazing experience for our audience and raise significant funds for the charity. There are many more decades of music to explore!”

The fundraising festival features three tiers of tickets:

  • First Class – Party on Cotswold Airport’s ‘Negus’ 747 Jumbo with exclusive access, food served up by award winning chef Luke French and the Joro team with premium beverages included throughout the evening.
  • Business Class – enjoy the magic and music from a Marquee under the wings of ‘Negus’ to ensure protection from the wilds of the Great British weather and enjoy fabulous food from gourmet food trucks and our onsite bars.
  • Economy – just come along and join the party to enjoy the tracks and acts of the 80’s with us at the amazing Cotswold Airport venue.
